Regular TYSO rehearsals are held Tuesdays from 6:15-8:00 at the Cary Arts Center.
Location of fall 2020 rehearsals: virtual, details to come.
Musicians must make a serious commitment to attending the weekly rehearsals detailed in the calendar below and abide by the attendance requirements in the String Orchestra Handbook 2020-21. Everyone is expected to be ready to play at the beginning of a scheduled rehearsal and at the call time before a performance.
No one will be excused from a dress rehearsal or concert unless it is for severe illness or death in the family.
Meet the Conductor: The conductor will become acquainted with each participant’s playing, by hearing a line from a solo, to provide the best possible experience in the orchestra. This will take place virtually.

Tickets at $5 for adults and $2 for children are sold through the Town of Cary.

Tuesday-Friday 11 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
The Town is opening the Box Office in the Cary Arts Center at 5:30 pm during the dress rehearsal, especially for us – please make use of this so we do not have a long line at the concert. Tickets are also on sale one hour before the concert.
Tickets are also available online for an extra charge through Etix
only required for the concert, not dress rehearsal, and is as follows:
Boys: Black pants (no jeans), white shirt, long tie, black socks and black shoes. No jackets, tuxedos or bow ties.
Girls: White blouse with sleeves and ankle-length black skirt or full-cut dress pants. Midriffs must be covered.
