Instruments and Practice
Students must have an instrument to bring to rehearsals and to practice on at home. A keyboard and drum kit will be provided for rehearsals.

Rehearsals
Regular classes will take place on Sundays, 1:30 – 2:30 pm at Price Music Center on the campus of North Carolina State University. Following a break, the students will observe the rehearsals of TYJE, TYJO or TYJB on a rotating basis until 3:30 pm.
Musicians must make a serious commitment to attending the weekly rehearsals detailed in the calendar below and abide by the attendance requirements in the Jazz Ensembles Handbook. Everyone is expected to be ready to play at the beginning of a scheduled rehearsal and at the call time before a performance.

Important Dates
TYJL musicians are encouraged to attend:
TYJB/TYJO/TYJE concert on Nov 10th, 2019, from 4 -6 pm at Cary Arts Center (a comp ticket will be provided)
Classics and Cuisine Annual Fundraiser: February 15, 2020, 4:30 – 8:30 pm, Temple Beth Or, 5315 Creedmoor Rd, Raleigh, NC 27612
TYJB/TYJO Spring Concert on Sunday, April 26, 2020 from 2-4pm at NC History Museum

Jazz Ensemble Handbook
Members and families should read and agree to the terms in the Jazz Ensembles Handbook.

Annual Participation Fees
Checks in the amount of $225 are payable to Philharmonic Association, or PA, Inc.
