Instruments and Practice
Students must have an instrument to bring to rehearsals and to practice on at home. A keyboard and drum kit will be provided for rehearsals.

Regular rehearsals will take place on Sundays, 3:45 – 4:45 pm at Price Music Center on the campus of North Carolina State University.
Musicians must make a serious commitment to attending the weekly rehearsals detailed in the calendar below and abide by the attendance requirements in the Jazz Ensembles Handbook. Everyone is expected to be ready to play at the beginning of a scheduled rehearsal and at the call time before a performance.

Important Dates
TYJL musicians are encouraged to attend:
TYJB/TYJO/TYJE concert on October 28th, 2018, from 4 -6 pm
Classics and Cuisine: February 9, 2019, 4 – 8:00 pm, Temple Beth Or, 5315 Creedmoor Rd, Raleigh, NC 27612
TYJO/TYJE Spring Concert on Sunday, March 31, 2019, from 2-4pm.
TYJL Spring Concert: April 28, 2019  with TYJB TBD

Concert Dress
Concert Dress is only required for the concert, not dress rehearsal, and is as follows:
Black pants (no jeans), white long-sleeved shirt, no tie, black socks and black shoes. Girls may wear a white blouse with black pants or skirt.

Jazz Ensemble Handbook
Members and families should read and agree to the terms in the Jazz Ensembles Handbook.

Annual Participation Fees
Checks in the amount of $315 are payable to Philharmonic Association, or PA, Inc.
