The United Strings of Color will be commemorating Black lives lost through music and poetry in a series of Violin Vigils. The events are free and open to all. To maintain suitable audience size at this outdoor event, we ask that you register in advance at SignUpGenius. You are encouraged to bring your own seating and protection from weather.
Vigils are currently scheduled for:
- May 1st from 4:00-5:00 in the Ambrose Episcopal Church parking lot (813 Darby St, Raleigh 27610)
May 5th from 6:30-7:30 at the Martin Luther King Memorial Gardens (1215 Martin Luther King Blvd, Raleigh 27610)
May 25 from 6:30-7:30 at Raleigh Little Theatre Amphitheatre (301 Pogue St, Raleigh 27607) with a rain date at the same time on May 27th
However, more dates will be added for the months of May and June 2021. Join us in honoring Black lives with music and poetry and remembering those lost.
