Earlier this month, our United Strings of Color (Kennedy Mitchell and CT Thomas, violins, Sterling Elliott, viola; Lexi Etienne, cello) and the PA String Quartet (Kenny Zhang and Suenne Khoo violins, Emily Schmidt viola, Elizabeth Nam, cello) put on a delightful pop-up concert at the North Carolina Museum of Art along with musicians from NCCMI.  The museum grounds provided the perfect location for an outdoor chamber music concert and the rains held off for a warm March afternoon. Audience members and museum-goers enjoyed nearly an hour of great music by talented young musicians.  Here are some clips of our two ensembles performing to give you a taste of the event:

If you wanted to attend the March pop-up concert but didn’t get a chance, we have good news for you!  Two of our chamber ensembles will be participating in a second outdoor concert at NCMA on Saturday, April 24th.  This performance will feature our PA String Quartet and our TYP Woodwind Quintet. The groups will perform simultaneously at different locations from 1:00-1:45pm and from 2:15-3:00pm.  For more information about the event, visit our calendar.

Don’t miss out on an afternoon of great chamber music at the beautiful NCMA.  Make an event of it by inviting your friends and family and packing a picnic to enjoy on the museum grounds!
