The Philharmonic Association is excited to officially announce the winners of our 2020 art invitational! Every year, we invite local high school students to submit artwork to be considered for our program cover. Students are asked to submit artwork inspired in some way by classical or jazz music. The art of the first place winner is featured on our fall and spring concert programs, and all winners are awarded cash prizes.
This year, as always, we received a great number of beautiful submissions. After careful consideration, our panel of judges selected the following students as the winners of out 2020 Art Invitational with two students tied for first place:
We would also like to acknowledge the art teachers of the winning students including Trish Klenow of Enloe High, Paula Hansen of Panther Creek High, and Jodi Aker of Enloe High.
The Philharmonic Association sincerely appreciates all the students who submitted artwork and all of their art teachers. Our organization is honored that so many talented individuals are willing to contribute their artwork every year to make our concert programs more beautiful and unique. Being able to pair our young musicians’ jazz and orchestral performances with a student-designed program cover adds so much to our concerts, and we are beyond grateful to all the talented young artists who make this pairing possible. Congratulations to the winners and their dedicated teachers!
