Three PA Students Tell Their Story

Three PA Students Tell Their Story

Recently, the Philharmonic Association had the honor of being represented by three of our students in the newsletter of My Brother’s Keeper Wake (MBKWake).  This organization is part of the My Brother’s Keeper Alliance that  focuses on building safe and supportive communities for boys and young men of color, where they feel valued and have clear pathways to opportunity. As part of MBK’s Mentor Spotlight series in the newsletter, Kennedy Mitchell, Sterling Elliott , and Justin Lumpkin were invited to tell about their experience in the PA.

We are so proud of these musicians for sharing their perspectives and so appreciative of the kind words they wrote about our organization.  The PA has much room to grow in areas like diversity, and it is encouraging for us to know that the musicians in our organization benefit from our efforts.

Read for yourself about these three musicians’ experiences described in MBKWake’s newsletter linked here.
