For the second year, PA musicians from TYP, TYS, TYO and Sinfonia will join together to bring music into the community through our Holiday Ensembles Program. Executive Assistant, Krista Wiese, has already scheduled nine community performances including, December 13, 6pm Cary Towne Center; December 16, 5:30 pm, Hillcrest Raleigh; December 20, 10 am, Pruitt Health; December 20, 3 PM, Parkview Manor; December 21, 10 am, Litchford Falls Nursing and Rehab; December 21, 12:30pm, Falls River Village; December 21, 1:30pm, Falls River Court; December 23, 2pm and 3 pm, The Oaks at Whitaker Glen-Mayview.
The holiday season is a time of giving and receiving gifts. Although December’s focus may be on gifts that can be wrapped, the Philharmonic Association believes that music is a wonderful gift to give and to receive. Our Holiday Ensembles Program aims to bring joy to the community during the holiday season by giving the gift of music to the people in the community in need of such a gift. They perform at locations like nursing homes, retirement communities, museums, malls, and other locations throughout the Triangle.
