The Philharmonic Association Board and senior staff have been hard at work since last summer to review, revise, and recommit to our Mission as a non-profit educational organization. We engaged in a special mini-retreat last summer, led by Salima Thomas of the Center for Non-profits and hosted by Treasurer, Luanne Roth, to work on adding Vision and Value Statements. We determined that we wanted to emphasize the values of Respect, Collaboration, Diversity and Inclusion, Excellence, and Integrity. At our last Board meeting on November 3, we finalized a revamped Mission Statement and added our first ever Vision Statement. This will be the template for a new Strategic Plan to be developed over the coming months by our Internal Committee with assistance from Advisory Board members. The Philharmonic Association Board approved statements for the values of Respect, Collaboration, and Excellence but ran out of time before finalizing the language for our Diversity and Inclusion and Integrity statements. You can view our work on the “Mission” page of this website, under the General heading.
