International Ballet with our Musicians

International Ballet with our Musicians

Rarely do young dancers or musicians get the chance to collaborate with one another. The Philharmonic Association and International Ballet Academy are all about creating this opportunity, and bringing the magic that happens to the public. The first week in August is the end of International Ballet’s summer session, so students who have participated are presenting their work at this event August 2, 6:00 pm in the Cary Arts Center. Philharmonic Association musicians from TYP and TYS have been recruited to play in a chamber orchestra. They will play CPE Bach’s Sinfonia in D major, Erik Satie’s Gymnopedies II, and Michael Nyman’s Miranda from Prospero’s Books. Hugh Partridge will conduct.

We encourage you to enjoy a delightful event featuring the area’s tremendous talent! Tickets available through Etix  or at the door one hour ahead of the performance.
