Are you a junior or senior in high school looking to gain experience in management, business, or arts administration? If so, the Philharmonic Association Musician Intern Program may be the perfect internship for you.
The PA Musician Intern Program is a open to juniors and seniors in high school who audition in August and are selected for a PA ensemble, or who participate in one of our non-auditioned groups. The program is designed to ensure participants have the opportunity to experience many of the tasks involved in the management of an arts organization. Although interns will focus their internship on a preferred area of administration, (stage crew, videography and photography, social media, outreach, or musician librarian), each intern will participate in tasks related to every focus area.
This internship offers high school students the rare opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the business and music world. Students will develop the skills, leadership, and responsibility valuable for any degree program and career, and especially valuable to those degrees and careers related to business and/or the arts. In addition to work experience, students will have opportunities to serve the PA and the community, and will earn volunteer hours by doing so. Participants in the program will receive the official designation of Philharmonic Musician Intern and be treated professionally.
