On Saturday, May 11 at 11:00, the Triangle Youth String Orchestra and the Triangle Youth String Sinfonia will be presenting their joint spring concert at the Cary Arts Center. What better way to inspire a budding or prospective string player than by witnessing other young string players playing great classical music?
On TYSO’s portion program are a variety of fun and pleasant pieces including an arrangement of Bach’s “Brandenburg Concert No. 5”, Edvard Grieg’s “Sailor’s Song”, and Offenbach’s “Can Can”. Sinfonia will be performing the well liked and catchy “Eine Kleine Nachtmusik”, Bach’s “Organ Fugue in G minor”, and the entirety of Gustav Holst’s “St. Paul Suite for Strings”. If you attended the string orchestra’s fall concert, you heard Sinfonia’s wonderful performance of the first movement of the “St. Paul Suite for Strings” and know to be looking forward to the ensemble’s performance of the whole piece.
Not only will the upcoming concert feature enjoyable repertoire, but the youth musicians playing the music truly enjoy performing and have worked hard all year to prepare for this final concert of the season. Come spend an enjoyable hour on Saturday morning, May 11 at 11:00 am, at the Cary Arts Center.
Tickets available at the door and through Etix.
