Four of the Philharmonic Association’s talented musicians recently made an impressive accomplishment.  Jeff Yi, Jaewon Jung, Esther Zhu, and Stephen Chang were all chosen to play in this year’s National Association for Music Education All- National Symphony Orchestra.  The 122 member All- National Symphony Orchestra is made up of the most talented high school musicians from all across the United States.  Musicians are selected each year based on a rigorous and highly competitive audition process.

This year’s All- National Symphony Orchestra concert took place on November 28th at Disney’s Coronado Spring Resort.  The program, conducted by the esteemed conductor Jean Montes, featured some challenging and unique literature including the Bach/Stokowski Komm Susser Todd, Ferere Laguerre’s Un Sel Badjo, Michael Daugherty’s Red Carpet Tango, and Occide Jeanty’s La Delaissee et ses soupires.

It is a huge honor to earn a position in the All- National Symphony Orchestra and the Philharmonic Association is extremely proud that not just one, but four of our musicians were chosen for such a position. The hard work and passionate for music of these four youth musicians is certainly an inspiration.  Congratulations to Jeff, Jaewon, Esther, and Stephen on their huge accomplishment!
