Every year, the Philharmonic Association presents an enjoyable holiday concert featuring the Triangle Youth Philharmonic (TYP).  This year will be especially exciting as it will feature special guests from the award-winning International Ballet Company and a variety of esteemed conductors.  The concert will take place on Monday, December 17th at 7:00 in Meymandi Concert Hall, a wonderful setting for this impressive concert.

Founding Director, Hugh Partridge, will conduct selections from The Nutcracker with the dancers and some of his favorite Leroy Anderson novelty pieces , composer Terry Mizesko will present his special insight as he conducts his own composition, Channukah Celebration Suite, and David Glover, newly chosen for the position of TYP Conductor, will introduce the musicians and the audience to the special nuances of a Strauss Waltz with the beloved Blue Danube.  Each of these conductors has different experience, insight, and talents, all of which will be evidenced as they conduct this unique holiday program.

With an enjoyable selection of festive pieces, the grand setting of Meymandi Concert Hall, and the special collaboration with the International Ballet Company, this year’s PA Holiday Concert is promising to be the performance of the season.  Attending this concert and inviting friends and relatives is a great way to support the Philharmonic Association while at the same time, celebrating the holiday season.
