Don’t miss the Fall String Orchestra Concert on November 17th at 4:00 at the Cary Arts Center. The concert will be performed by both the Triangle Youth String Orchestra and the Triangle Youth String Sinfonia.
This will be Myriah Luke’s first concert as director of TYSO. She has programmed pieces that require the TYSO students to employ “the highest level of independence and awareness” when playing. Myriah says that she is “very excited for the students to showcase their ensemble skills in the pieces Rigaudon by Purcell, and Westminster Prelude and Fugue by David Shaffer”.
Sinfonia will open with the lively overture to Mozart’s opera, The Abuduction from the Seraglio, and conclude with a spooky favorite, Night on Bald Mountain, by Modest Mussorgsky. Sinfonia’s program has been masterfully designed by Conductor Luanne Roth, and is sure to keep listeners engaged.
Will call tickets can be picked up at the Cary Arts Center box office starting one hour before the show.
