Welcome Krista Wiese!  Krista recently joined our team as the Executive Intern.  She will be training with Executive Director Margaret Partridge to learn all the aspects of managing an arts non-profit and will also develop a new intern program for our upper classmen participants.

Krista Wiese has been a member of the PA for over eight years beginning in 2012, when she joined the Triangle Youth Symphony Orchestra.  Since then, she has been a member of the Triangle Youth Orchestra, the Triangle Youth Symphony where she held the position of Concert Master, and the Triangle Youth Philharmonic where she held the position of Principal Second Violin.

In 2017, Krista formed a string quartet within the Triangle Youth Symphony.  Having the oppurtunity to be the founder and leader of her own small ensemble allowed Krista to discover her interest in management and administration.

Krista also enjoys using her music to inspire and educate children.  With her quartet, she traveled to various libraries in Raleigh, Cary, and Knightdale and performed a program designed to show children how exciting music can be.  In addition to performing these educational programs with her quartet, Krista subsistue teaches for afterschool orchestra programs in the Garner area.

Krista was homeschooled for middle and high school.  By also taking courses at Wake Technical Community College  Krista graduated from high school this spring with her Associate of Arts degree.  In the fall, Krista will attend Meredith College where she plans to double major in English and Arts Administration.

We are pleased that Krista has joined the PA staff and creating more opportunities for musicians to pursue their passions.
